Amerigo lives in Trieste, capital of the Friuli Venezia Giulia region in northeastern Italy. He is a vegetarian, animal rights activist and right-wing nationalist. He organizes help for the needy. Also for a retired couple. The husband used to be a dockworker, the wife receives a disability pension. Their joint cash income adds up to 580 euros. If it were up to them, Italy would leave the EU. In the past, when the lira still existed, they made a modest living. The couple also fears that too many African migrants are coming to Europe. Amerigo also considers migrants to be the biggest danger for Europe. The 6th episode of "24 Hours in Europe" revolves around extremes. And about religion. Ibrahim, who delivers medication in the Toulouse area in France, makes the minimum wage, is a devout Muslim and describes himself as a Salafist. He has decided to take part in the film. However, his wife, mother and sister are not allowed to be filmed - not because they have not agreed to it, but because Ibrahim wants it that way. In Namur, Belgium, Nikola is preparing for his ordination as a priest, which will take place in the afternoon. He used to be a soldier. He believes that both professions have one thing in common: As a soldier, he dedicated his life, even in a very physical sense, to fulfil his duties in the army. Now, as a Catholic priest, he devotes his entire existence to pastoral care and service to God and the Church.
